We are three afghan hound and saluki lovers, two ancient sighthound breeds that have been preserved throught hundred of years due to a carefull breeding and selection fom Middle Orient tribes.

Our breeding practices

Our aim at EyesGazing is to breed sound afghans and salukis, both in body and in mind, exclusively from parents of great quality inside and outside of the show ring, only breeding when that breeding can bring something good to our breeds. So it's very important for us health and of paramount importance the temperament, never using shy or agressive bitches or males. It's our desire try, as much as we can, to breed nice companions for the people who decide to have an afghan or saluki from us.

We abide to the Nordic countries responsible breeding practices. We feel responsible of the dogs we breed and want to maintain a close contact with these who have dogs from us, giving advice if needed, being able to help if circumstances change and it's needed to find another good home for the dog.

Our dogs live with us at home and share our lives, don't live kenneled and this doesn't allow us to have and maintain many dogs. As we only want to breed from the very best, and take care of our bitches as they deserve (maximum 2 or 3 litters during their lives) , we will only offer litters from time to time.

Joining together

We started as competitors some years ago enjoying our mutual company and love for the dogs at dog shows. We helped us each other and started to go to dog shows together and share expenses. That way, we get to know each other and became good friends, realizing latter that we had the same ideas about all that's involved with breeding and our responsibility as breeders with the dogs we decide to bring into this world. It was clear that we could do much more together than competing ones against others and that's how we joined under the Eyes Gazing prefix.
